Thank you for staying with me through these four parts about Catholics, women, and voting! I appreciate your attention and your comments! We're one day away from the elections...what's a girl to do now? (If you're like my roommate, you're cozied up in a recliner watching The Voice tonight *ahem*...but that's okay-- she's already voted.)
It's not to late to Learn and Get Informed. Even if you are ready to vote for the presidential candidate, do some research on the local issues and candidates. Just as the family is the domestic church, a godly nation begins in the family and smaller community.
Speak, dialogue, fear not. Don't be afraid to ask your friends and others tomorrow-- the grocery store cashier, your teachers, your co-workers-- their thoughts on the elections. While each person is certainly entitled to her vote, that doesn't mean we can't discuss our thoughts in a loving way and hopefully guide someone to dig deeper and find the truth. They may have not realized Obama's track record on abortion (beginning the process of overturning conscience-protection clauses for healthcare workers, his opposition to the Born Alive Protection Act--a bill that protects infants accidentally born alive from failed abortions!) or what Obamacare and the HHS mandate truly mean for Catholic institutions and how they violate the first amendment and religious freedom.
Pray, pray, pray. It is only by His grace that we can turn the tide of our country and bring it back to a culture that respects all lives at every stage. We know that He is ever-ready to hear our sincere prayers and desires for this country and its leaders and to send wisdom and discernment when we ask. Many of my friends are fasting in some way tomorrow. You can join us at the Mark 9:29 Sisters or choose to make some sort of sacrifice on your own.
Hope and trust. In the end, God is still in control. When the stats and arguments and ignorance become discouraging, we can find comfort and peace in this fact. Though we want to do our part in furthering His kingdom on earth, we know that there's more than just this life on earth. Praise Him for that. We have the hope of the Heavenly Kingdom.
God bless you, girls, and may God bless our beautiful America tomorrow with virtuous leaders.

Thank you for stopping by CYW! Comments are always welcome, and we appreciate your thoughts. CYW is meant to be a community of like-minded Catholic women, so hearing from our readers always make us smile.
Disagreement is permitted, but we require that some sort of name be attached to the comment rather than simply leaving it anonymous and that charity always be maintained. And, though criticism of a post is acceptable, any derisive remarks about the personal lives of the contributors are considered unacceptable.
Comments are moderated for the sake of our young readers.
God bless!
