The Dynamic Catholic Prayer

(Happy Easter, girls! I hope you are still rejoicing that our Savior lives! We prayed this prayer at my church's pastoral council meeting last week--I LOVED it and thought I'd share it with you. It has no author written, but it sounds Matthew-Kelly-style to me... -Laura)

The Dynamic Catholic Prayer

Loving Father,

I invite you into my life today,
and make myself available to you.
Help me to become the-best-version-of-myself,
by seeking your will
and being a living example of your love in the world.
Open my heart to the areas of my life that need to change,
so I can carry out the mission you have imagined for my life
and experience the joy you desire for me.
Inspire me to live the Catholic faith in ways
that are dynamic and engaging.
Show me how to best get involved in the life of my parish.
Give our community a hunger for best practices
and continuous learning.
Give me courage when I am afraid,
hope when I am discouraged,
and clarity in times of decision.
Lead your Church to become all you imagined it would be
for the people of our times.

Amen.

Thank you for stopping by CYW! Comments are always welcome, and we appreciate your thoughts. CYW is meant to be a community of like-minded Catholic women, so hearing from our readers always make us smile.

Disagreement is permitted, but we require that some sort of name be attached to the comment rather than simply leaving it anonymous and that charity always be maintained. And, though criticism of a post is acceptable, any derisive remarks about the personal lives of the contributors are considered unacceptable.

Comments are moderated for the sake of our young readers.

God bless!
